They could not be more beautiful, these
kittens, and their temperaments are terrific, if somewhat ‘lively’!
They all love to sit on laps. They all groom each other and me
(face and hair!) and follow me around the house like dogs. Very
adorable, to say the least!
Cheers,
Kris
Pummi is a gannet
and is already growing quite large. Spike, as I said, is just
beautiful Spike, with his light undercoat becoming whiter with every
day. And little Arno is fast becoming too too too adorable for words!
You don’t even have to sit down! This morning I stood still for a
few moments and he came up and rubbed himself against my leg. Once he
had my attention, he looked me right in the eyes and gave three very
long extended squeaks until he was picked up! Not once did his eyes
leave mine! He loves any attention, being stroked, picked up,
anything! Purr, purr, purr!!

They're
getting a bit big for 3 on one lap, but we do our best!
Liffey, cinnamon spotted
Ocicat, with Arno and Pummi
"Liffey has got to
be the fastest cat we have ever seen, and her Rugby swerves at high
speed are incredible to watch. Her power to weight ratio, especially
with those incredibly long back legs, is amazing! And she never
tires!"
We build
different tunnels with the milk crates and blankets for them to play
in and they have a ball ducking in and out, playing hide and seek,
losing their balls and finding them .....

Ocicat
"Most of our toys
are completely wasted because they enjoy each other’s company so much
and the sound of four sets of paws thundering up and down the hall is
a joy to listen to. And of course, the wrestling and chasing is so
much fun to watch."

Hi Sue
Just thought I would drop you a line of appreciation &
update............
Vita
is jaw-droppingly clever,
affectionate, sure-footed, quick-as-a-whip, decisive & increasinglytalkative. Boy oh boy! She just
doesn't miss a trick! She is blindingly
clever! She has distinct kleptomaniac tendencies - which can be
quite charming.
Also - if asked - I would say to never get an Ocicat unless they
have a 'buddy' (aka Dolce). Vita SO needs the rough & tumble of theother
cat (& vice versa). Dolce (other cat) fills needs that I never could.
Cheers & thanks.............

Hello Sue,
Sorry I have taken so long to send you some photo's of our baby,
I have been very busy this week and when I haven't been
Hershey has had me pinned down so he can have all my attention. He
loves to sit on my chest and sing me a song, lucky I'm well padded,
bit hard to watch tele with him sitting there though lol.
When he hasn't got mine or the boys attention Paul included, he has
had fun chasing Kira all around the house, they woke my eldest up at
5am this morning little buggers, he thought he stay up and play his
xbox until I caught him and told him to go back to sleep, apparently
Hershey was washing his face for him, he HAD slept most of the night
in my bed.
7 o'clock this morning he and Kira were chasing each other up and
down the hallway in and out of the boys rooms, so much for telling
them to have a sleep in, Hershey and Kira had other ideas.
He certainly is a little character, very persistent, after only
two/three days he had worn Kira's resolve to hate him down.
Basically he pestered the sh## out of her until she gave in, very funny to
watch, it really didn't take her long to give into him, to his constant
play with me gestures.
Kira, tawny spotted ocicat
female, went to live with
Robyn and family in 2008. She has now been joined by Hershey, a tawny
spotted ocicat male, in March 2009.
She was hissing at him, growling at him and not letting him near the
food bowl, vacating the chair when he came and sat on it, and
generally being jealous and not prepared to share.
She will now sit in the same chair curled up with him, Paul managed to
get them both sitting with him either side of him in his chair,
something he was determined to do so that he could stir me about it.
She will now curl up and sleep with him happily, groom him and now
even lets him move her head out of the way of the food bowl, he
certainly does enjoy his tucker.

Hi Sue,
Hope this letter finds you both well and settled into
your new home .
Had a look at your web site the other day and it is looking great.
We are thoroughly enjoying Hannah and Tillie as members of our family
and they have settled in very well. They have each quite different
personalities and are very good mates as well as scrapping buddies.
Hannah has an amazing stamina for fetch and retrieve of her mouse and
will quite happily play for ages or until we get tired.
She also has an amazing appetite. Tillie is more reserved, however she
has amazing agility and can leap to incredible heights with out too
much effort. Found her on top of the stacked washing machine/ dryer in
the laundry the other day. Over 2 metres high.
They are highly intelligent and seem to be able to solve situations
that any other cat would give up on.
They loved the footy on the big screen, in fact Tillie has become a
Collingwood supporter with her colouring and ball chasing skills
standing on her hind legs patting at the ball on the screen. Also good
computer skills tapping away at the monitor with the cursor moving
around.
There is a hot key we didn't know of but they found one to lock up the
whole system .Tech support was needed to undo there key board typing
mystery.
Hannah, is a tawny spotted
ocicat and
Tillie is a blue-silver
spotted ocicat.

"....They always fight over my lap too. I try to put
them both on my lap together, because Mylo is so small still so i can
get them both on there but Link always moves his tail for the first
few minutes so this causes Mylo to bite it, then Link cracks it after
so long and jumps off my lap. Sometimes it works out and they sleep on
my lap for a while together, i love it when they do that. That's what
happened when i sat down to write this email, Link won the battle this
time. He's on my lap and Mylo is sitting next to myself and the
laptop. Once Mylo progresses into adulthood i think her and Link will
be the best of mates. Anyway i'v attached a couple of photos for you.
You can definitely see the love in these two! Thank you for a
beautiful cat. I'm so glad its all worked out..."

I'm not a breeder, so I can be objective. Right?
Ocis are marvellous. My Mochie is such a mellow cat. Oh, he has his
moments when he races through the house at top speed, but I've never,
ever had a moment of worry about his temperament. He's very gentle
and loving.
Mochie lives with four dogs. Three very large ones, and a rascally
Jack Russell, who is about the same size as Mochie. They all get
along fine. It's very clear that they think of him as a member of
their pack. I've heard others say that Ocis are good for people who
like dogs because they're sort of dog-like. When someone comes to the
house, Mochie is right there with the dogs to say hi. He's very
inquisitive. He knows where I keep his favorite toy and he has no
qualms about opening the cabinet to get it. It's a big stick with a
long piece of fabric on it, and he picks it up like a dog would pick
up a stick, and trots off with it to wait for me to come and play.
I can heartily recommend Ocicats. But be prepared -- they're very
smart!
I had the good fortune to
visit an International Cat Show in San Francisco, USA, with over 800 cats
present.
This
picture shows a judge watching for special features from this
chocolate spotted ocicat.
This is the activity centre.
The cats are enticed with wand feathers to jump over obstacles and run
through tunnels. The cats usually enjoy the fun activity very much but
if they are not interested at the time...then that's the end of it!
